Full Time Medical Assistant
Description: Well established Cardiology office seeking a full- time Medical Assistant. Our practice consists of 4 Fulltime physicians , as well as a professional and hard working staff. Our driving goal is to provide top-of-the-line, compassionate, and enthusiastic care to the community.
Job Duties: While working under the direct supervision of the doctor and senior staff, employees are expected to:
Take blood pressure
•Perform medication reconciliations
•Work in reception checking patient in, dealing with clerical duties, answering questions, scheduling appointments, answering phones, verifying insurance information, etc.
•Work in conjunction with the billing department to ensure fair, accurate, and prompt billing information
•Maintain the office (exam rooms, reception area, etc.)
•Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal and organizational regulations
Requirements: Applicants are required to meet or exceed the following basic qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Must have obtained MA certification from an accredited ABHES or CAAHEP program
•Current BLS certification/CPR card
•Experience with EHR system(s)
